Schizophrenia 2..
I haven’t felt like posting a lot lately but I’m trying to stay active.. I had goals for this month but I don’t think I’m gonna reach them..
I’ve trying read about the different mental illness and bring awareness to them.. no one should suffer in shame.. so this month I’ve been reading about schizophrenia.. I found this on Pinterest..

Why
I was thinking about blogging.. and really what do I want to do with it.. I mean do I wanna make money.. or do I just want it to be my public journal or do I want God to show me how reach people by not only through my experiences but also through His word..
I know one the key things for this blog will be to bring mental illness awareness to the front line and humanity all around the world.. and to share the word of God as often as I can..
Now I was thinking about Facebook.. I have over 1500 friends.. but it’s hard as heck to get them to like my blog.. I know they know how to read but I don’t know what it I’m doing wrong when it comes to blogging.. I don’t think it’s me I know people support what and who they want.. with that being said I am bout ready to stop posting on there..
Now today was a good day in my opinion because I started it in my prayer room.. and I ask God to keep my mind from wondering.. I don’t wanna be concerned with the things of this world.. of course I wanna be informed but I have settled it in my heart that God is in control.. and I have decided that I’m gonna live my life in such away that He receives all the glory.. and yes there are things that happen that I don’t understand nor can I explain but I know that no sin goes unpunished..
Now for me.. l have decided to make the best of this chronic depression and pain.. I look around and I know it could be so much worse.. and I am reminding myself to take it one second at a time and to breathe.. and to remember that God said there is a time for everything.. so if I feel like crying, being sad, happy it’s okay.. I don’t believe trying to kill emotions so I can be happy all the time.. who can do that anyway.. I still have days where my bed is my best friend.. the therapist ask me if it was the pain causing the depression.. I think it has something to do with it, a lot to do with it.. but like I said I always suffered from depression but never like this.. do I feel life is over.. I don’t know.. I pray not.. Do I believe that God will heal me .. maybe but no matter what I believe in God and His Son and The Holy Spirit..

Half a million children in Yemen are suffering from severe acute malnutrition
The conflict-driven food crisis in Yemen could become a full-blown famine this year, the UN’s humanitarian chief has warned.
Two million people need emergency food aid to survive and child malnutrition has risen 63% in a year, Stephen O’Brien told the UN Security Council.
A child under five dies every 10 minutes of preventable causes, he said.
Severe poverty, war damage, and a naval embargo by the Saudi-led coalition have all damaged food security.
About 14 million people are currently food insecure in Yemen, including 2.2m children who are acutely malnourished and nearly 500,000 suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
Mr O’Brien urged the Saudi-led coalition – which is backed by Western countries including the US and UK – to remove its no-fly zone and reopen Sanaa airport.
The blockade is having a “disproportionate impact” on civilians, he said, by stopping life-saving medication being flown in, and preventing 20,000 Yemenis accessing specialist medical treatment abroad.
Jamie McGoldrick, the UN humanitarian coordinator in Yemen, told the BBC that people were desperate and wheat supplies would last only an estimated three more months.
“Everywhere you go, you see people begging in the streets in bigger numbers, you see people rummaging through rubbish to survive,” he said.
“You hear catastrophic stories of children dying because they can’t get to health centres. People dying of malnutrition, people dying of preventable diseases.
“It will get worse because the problem is that the economy is in really bad shape and banking sector doesn’t function.” (BBC NEWS)
How can these women, children and elderly be a threat to us.. how we look the other way as the innocence suffer.. and ourselves the Country to look up to.. my heart breaks for Yemen..

Egypt not doing enough to tackle human trafficking: US report
Hundreds of thousands of street children are particularly at risk

Egypt faces a significant problem with human trafficking, being host to some of the worst instances of the crime in the world, according to a new US government report.
The report added that the government must do more to tackle the issue and support victims.
The US State Department’s 2015 Trafficking in Persons report on the phenomenon of trafficking and responses to it in nations worldwide, has identified areas in which the Egyptian government must do more to address the crime. It called on Egypt to do more to identify vulnerable groups and to convict traffickers.
“Egypt is a source, transit, and destination country for men, women, and children subjected to forced labour and sex trafficking,” the report notes.
While Egypt does not fully comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking, it is making “significant efforts” to do so, the report reads. Compared with the previous year, the government has failed to increase anti-trafficking efforts, and has decreased in efforts to identify and protect victims.
The report notes that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has publicly acknowledged street children, estimated to number between 200,000 and 1 million, are especially vulnerable to trafficking. President Al-Sisi pledged EGP 100m to address this issue in February of this year, but the report suggests there is confusion among “relevant ministries on how this funding was to be allocated for anti-trafficking measures”.
Beyond the vulnerability of children, the report notes that individuals from the GCC, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Kuwait “purchase Egyptian women and girls for ‘temporary’ or ‘summer’ marriages for the purpose of prostitution or forced labour; these arrangements are often facilitated by the victims’ parents and marriage brokers, who profit from the transaction”. This “child sex tourism” occurs mainly in Cairo, Alexandria, and Luxor.
Syrian refugees who have settled in Egypt are “increasingly” vulnerable to trafficking. Egyptian men are vulnerable to “forced labour in construction, agriculture, and low-paying service jobs in neighbouring countries”.
The government’s failure to properly address the plight of human trafficking has placed Egypt on a ‘tier 2 watch list’ of countries, where despite efforts the phenomenon remains a significant problem.
Egypt has issued a nationwide order for all district courts to gather information from the previous five years, as a way to identify and target anti-trafficking efforts. A hotline has also been set up for the public to register cases and to offer support advice.
Daily News Egypt spoke to Ambassador Naela Gabr, assistant foreign minister for international organisations and the head of the National Coordinating Committee on preventing and combating illegal migration (NCCPIM). She noted that Egypt took large steps from 2010 when a new law against trafficking was introduced.
The law prohibits all forms of trafficking, with penalties between three to 15 years imprisonment and fines, matching the level of punishment for equally severe crimes.
Ambassador Gabr holds that those who are engaged in illegal immigration through networks, smuggled and trafficked are “victims”, and the vision of the government is to provide support. However, the file on trafficking has recently been transferred to the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice spokesperson was not available for comment when contacted by Daily News Egypt.
According to the report, the government has stated that it carried out 27 potential trafficking investigations, and initiated 15 prosecutions under the law in 2014. The report, however, notes that no one was convicted last year.
A failure to also properly identify those vulnerable to trafficking means that “victims are routinely treated as criminals and punished for unlawful acts committed as a direct result of being subjected to human trafficking”.
One metric where the government needs to provide enhanced work is the support given to foreign nationals who are trafficked through Egypt, with most support given to Egyptian victims of trafficking. In one phenomenon, men and women from South and Southeast Asia and East Africa are “subjected to forced labour in domestic service, construction, cleaning, and begging”.
However, a key change has been made in Sinai, where between 2009 and 2013 it was understood that up to 30,000 victims had been trafficked. However, the 2015 report notes that military activity in the peninsula has disrupted the trade. It adds that the traffickers in these areas are understood to have relocated to the Western border with Libya.

The United States of America (USA) currently has around 1.2 million people living with HIV, with one in seven people unaware that they have HIV.1 The size of the epidemic is relatively small compared to the total population, however it is heavily concentrated among several key affected populations and geographically in the southern states – where 49% of all HIV new infections occur. Since the beginning of the HIV and AIDS epidemic, 659,000 people have died of AIDS-related illnesses in the USA.2
Although the USA is the greatest national funder of the HIV epidemic globally, it is still facing a major ongoing HIV epidemic itself, with around 50,000 new infections per year. Stigma and discrimination continue to hamper people’s access to HIV prevention, testing and treatment services, fuelling the cycle of new infections.
The USA lacked a comprehensive plan on HIV until 2010 when President Obama created a National HIV/AIDS Strategy. The latest strategy, released in 2015, is structured around four core aims: reducing new HIV infections; increasing access to care and improving health outcomes for people living with HIV; reducing HIV-related disparities and health inequities and achieving a coordinated national response to the epidemic.3
Key affected populations in the USA
The impact of the HIV epidemic in the USA is more seriously among some groups than others. These key affected populations can be grouped by transmission category i.e. men who have sex with men (MSM), but also by race, with people of colour having significantly higher rates of HIV infection over white Americans.4
A complex set of economic and socioeconomic factors drive risk to these populations, including a lack of access to care, discrimination, homophobia, stigma and poverty.5 Sexual networks is also a major determining factor for HIV risk in the USA, with populations at a high risk to HIV tending to have sexual relations with people in their own communities.
Men who have sex with men in the USA
MSM are the group most affected by HIV in the USA, accounting for 68% of all new HIV infections in 2013.6 The group has seen a rise in new HIV infections between 2009 and 2013 from 28,000 to 31,000.7
Only 66% of MSM living with HIV in 2011 were aware of their infection, and young MSM aged 18-24 were even less likely to know (49%). There are significant disparities by race as well. 86% of white MSM were aware of their status, compared to only 63% of Hispanic/Latino MSM and 54% of black/African American MSM.8
Higher numbers of sexual partners, greater numbers of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and having unprotected anal sex are some of the reasons why HIV transmission is more common among MSM.9
Black/African Americans in the USA
Black/African Americans accounted for 46% of all new HIV infections in 2013, and make up 43% of the total number of people living with HIV in the USA, despite only making up 13% of the population.10
Between 2009-2013, black/African Americans accounted for:
63% of all HIV infections among women
67% of all HIV infections among children below 13 years old
42% of all HIV infections among males.11
Black/African American men and women are most likely to be infected through unprotected sex with a man, or by injecting drugs. Other factors such as heightened levels of poverty, lack of access to adequate healthcare, and stigma surrounding MSM also increase this group’s risk of HIV infection.
Young black/African American MSM (aged 13 to 24) are most affected.12 In 2010, they were more than twice as likely to be infected with HIV as young MSM of any other ethnic group.13
High HIV prevalence within this community, and the increased likelihood of black/African Americans to only have sexual relations with others in their community, heightens their risk of HIV.14
